SALIERI Piano Concerto No.1
MOZART Piano Concerto No.19 K.459
BEETHOVEN Piano Concerto No.2 Op.19

The Chamber Orchestra of Mantua was founded in 1981 by Carlo Fabiano who has always been it’s first violin. It solidified it’s reputation immediately for its technical brilliance, sound quality, sensitivity to stylistic challenges and deep historical roots in Mantova. Over the last 15 years, Fabiano has focused mainly on the idea of an ambitious series of monographs dedicated to Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, and Schumann. Coming from the beautiful historical Italian theatre Bibiena, which is an architectural jewel with fantastic acoustics, he is here in Florence to play the classic repertoire which fits him best. The program consists of three piano concertos all of Vienna in the second half of the 18th century. It is a unique marathon for soloist Benedetto Lupo without a moment to breathe. Lupo is from Bari, Italy and is an academician of Accademia Nazionale Di Santa Cecilia. He came into the international spotlight after being recognized at the Van Cliburn competition in Texas in 1989. He leads Concert no. 1 of Salieri, K. 459 of Mozart and op. 19 of Beethoven.
