An Easter event marked by virtuosity and lightness: at the Teatro Garibaldi in Figline, the ORT presents a concert highlighting two masterpieces of classicism, chosen for their brilliance, originality and communicative power.

On the podium is the young South Korean conductor Min Gyu Song, winner of the prestigious Cantelli Prize in 2024, now one of the most highly regarded emerging talents in major European concert halls, thanks to his precise, fluid and musically inspired conducting.

The programme opens with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart‘s Concerto No. 5 in A major, K. 219, known as “alla turca” due to the exotic episode in the final movement. Composed when the author was just nineteen years old, it is one of his most theatrical and communicative works. On violin is Simon Zhu, born in 2001, winner of the 2023 Paganini Competition, appreciated for his expressive maturity and technical elegance.

The concert closes with Ludwig van Beethoven‘s Symphony No. 8 in F major, Op. 93: a compact, ironic and lively score that plays with classical language in a brilliant and unpredictable way. A perfect Easter finale combining lightness and energy.
