Italian atmospheres, classical brilliance, and romantic virtuosity come together at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni Empoli in a program that traverses the European nineteenth century with elegance and vivacity. On the podium, Diego Ceretta, principal conductor of the ORT, leads a concert that compares styles and influences from Germany and the Mediterranean.
A musical journey between romantic influences and classicism: Mendelssohn’s overture Das Märchen von der schönen Melusine evokes fairy-tale and mysterious atmospheres; Weber’s Clarinet Concerto No. 2 highlights the virtuosic qualities of the instrument; Mozart’s Symphony No. 39 closes the program with elegance and expressive depth. A concert that brings together different worlds in a single evening at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni.
