The concert, which will be held at the Teatro Politeama in Poggibonsi, presents a program that compares two distinct musical worlds: the balanced elegance of early 19th-century Vienna and the dramatic force of the French school.

Diego Ceretta, principal conductor of the ORT and protagonist of a season full of events, will be on the podium. The program opens with Ludwig van Beethoven‘s Concerto No. 3 in C minor for piano and orchestra, Op. 37, written between 1800 and 1803, a period of transition between Haydn’s influences and the maturation of a personal style, characterized by a controlled tension between lyricism and intensity.

The solo part will be performed by Martina Consonni, an internationally renowned pianist from Lombardy, appreciated for the depth and intelligence of her interpretations.

The evening closes with Luigi Cherubini‘s Symphony in D major, composed in 1815, a dense and incisive work that combines the classical contrapuntal tradition with the composer’s typical drama, far removed from Rossini’s typical lightness.
