The concert opens with Mozart‘s Divertimento for Strings No. 1 K 136, composed when he was only sixteen years old. A brilliant and refined page, where the melodies flow lightly and naturally, already revealing the young composer’s genius.

This is followed by Rossini‘s Introduction, Theme and Variations, written in 1819 for the famous clarinettist Ernesto Cavallini. In this exuberant composition, the clarinet – played by Fabrizio Fadda – becomes the absolute protagonist, passing with ease from virtuosic passages to others of irresistible cantabile, up to an overwhelming finale.

The programme closes with Mozart‘s Symphony No. 35 Haffner, originally conceived as a serenade and later transformed into a symphony full of energy. From the impetuous first movement to the wild last, it is a masterpiece of balance between formal lightness and orchestral strength.

Conducting the orchestra is Giovanni Conti, in a musical journey that celebrates the elegance of Viennese classicism and the theatrical brio of the Italian school.
