For the Christmas Concert 2025, the Orchestra della Toscana will welcome the audience to the Teatro Verdi in Florence for a special evening of lightness, expressive intensity and great classical architecture. On the podium, the young and brilliant Nicolò Jacopo Suppa, already appreciated in the main Italian theatres for his clear, communicative and passionate conducting. At his side, cellist Ettore Pagano, one of the most promising personalities on the new instrumental scene, known for his warm timbre and instinctive yet rigorous interpretation.

The programme opens with the lively irony of the overture from Rossini‘s Il signor Bruschino, followed by Čajkovskij‘s Andante cantabil, a recollected and intense page, taken from the first string quartet and reworked by the composer himself, where the cello becomes a lyrical and profound voice.

It continues with Stravinsky‘s Suite italienne No. 1, a refined homage to 18th-century taste, with themes often attributed to Pergolesi reinterpreted with a modern spirit and neoclassical lightness. Grand finale with Mozart‘s monumental Symphony No. 41 “Jupiter”, an absolute summit of balance and inventiveness, perfect to end the year with energy, grace and wonder.
