    Two profoundly German pieces, linked by the power of the landscape and a romantic sentiment that intertwines nature and destiny.

    Carl Maria von Weber‘s Der Freischütz, with its impetuous overture, inaugurates the great season of operatic romanticism. Between echoes of horns in the forest and dark omens.

    Johannes Brahms‘s Fourth Symphony is a masterpiece of balance and emotional depth, intense and monumental, capable of combining formal rigour with poignant lyricism. Characterised by its famous Allegro non troppo, the finale, with its variations on a Baroque theme, leaves an impression of majestic elegance.

    Conducting is Diego Ceretta, principal conductor of the ORT.

    Ceretta approaches this repertoire with youthful energy and clear thinking, constructing a journey that speaks of roots, tensions, and freedom.

    Musica Diffusa, the ORT music festival that invades all five districts of Florence, is part of AUTUNNO FIORENTINO organized by the Municipality of Florence with the support of the Directorate-General for Performing Arts of the Ministry of Culture. It is organized in collaboration with Fondazione Solidarietà Caritas ETS Firenze, Cesvot, Fondazione Montedomini onlus, Istituto di Scienze Militari Aeronautiche, and Comunità di San Leolino – Certosa di Firenze.

    It is possible to make a DONATION online and/or at the stations set up during the concerts to offer a hot meal to those most in need in support of the Mense Caritas, in collaboration with Fondazione Solidarietà Caritas and CESVOT.
