    The Orchestra della Toscana‘s Christmas Concert 2025 will be held at the Galleria dei Giganti in Peccioli, bringing some of the masterpieces of the great symphonic tradition to the town. The orchestra will be conducted by Nicolò Jacopo Suppa, a young talent who has already been applauded in numerous Italian seasons for his clear and passionate interpretation. At his side will be cellist Ettore Pagano, one of the most interesting performers of the new generation, known for his authentic expressiveness and enveloping sound.

    The programme opens with the lively and theatrical overture from Rossini‘s Il signor Bruschino. This is followed by Tchaikovsky‘s Andante cantabile, taken from his first string quartet and reworked for orchestra, where the cello becomes an intense and melancholic voice.

    At the heart of the concert, Stravinsky‘s Suite italienne No. 1 offers a refined dialogue between past and present: 18th-century melodies, partly attributed to Pergolesi, reinterpreted with modern taste and ironic lightness. The grand finale is entrusted to Mozart‘s Symphony No. 41 “Jupiter”, the summa of classical thought, capable of combining energy, intelligence and wonder.
