    A world premiere and a centrepiece of Beethoven’s repertoire at the Teatro Sociale in Mantua make up the programme conducted by Riccardo Bisatti.

    To open the concert, the Orchestra della Toscana presents Ein Tanzender Stern (A Dancing Star), a concerto for piano four hands and orchestra commissioned by the ORT Foundation from Alessandro Solbiati, featuring Bruno Canino and Emanuela Piemonti. The presence of two performers with deep roots in Italy’s long musical tradition lends particular significance to this new commission.

    The programme concludes with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, Op. 55, ‘Eroica’, a landmark work in the transformation of nineteenth-century symphonic language.
