A journey between nature and classicism in one of Tuscany’s most evocative locations. At Badia a Passignano, the Orchestra della Toscana offers a fascinating programme that combines the evocative power of Antonio Vivaldi‘s Four Seasons with the luminous elegance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart‘s Symphony No. 30 K 202.

Protagonist of the evening is Giacomo Bianchi, first violin of the ORT, engaged in the dual role of soloist and concertmaster. He will lead the ensemble in an intense reading of Vivaldi’s four concertos, capable of rendering all their timbral richness and narrative power. A tale in music that spans the seasons of the year – and of life – between delicacy, impetus, melancholy and joy.

Completing the programme is the Symphony K 202, written by a Mozart who was only 18 years old but already fully aware of his own artistic voice. A brilliant, elegant and dynamic work, it is a perfect counterpoint to Vivaldi’s Baroque writing, opening up to the balance and transparency of Viennese classicism.
