The concert opens with Mozart‘s Sinfonia concertante K 364, which combines the concert and symphony form in a fascinating dialogue between soloists and orchestra. In this performance, the protagonists are Giacomo Bianchi on violin and Stefano Zanobini on viola, who lead the listener through a refined musical interweaving.

In the first movement, the soloists emerge with elegance from the orchestral fabric; the Andante is a meditation with a melancholic tone, while the final Rondo explodes in joy and brilliance.
Haydn‘s Symphony No. 57, written for the Esterházy court, follows. The first movement is solemn and majestic, but surprises with sudden dynamic changes.

The Adagio offers a space of intense expressiveness, followed by a lively Minuet and an enthusiastic, almost theatrical finale. Haydn skilfully plays with rhythm and harmony, maintaining a constant inventive freshness.
Mozart and Haydn, each with their own unmistakable style, explore the interplay between instruments and orchestra, achieving a perfect balance of classical elegance and musical vitality.
