    At the Forte di Belvedere, the music unfolds over the city from above, in a space suspended between military architecture and the urban landscape, where the sound seems to engage directly with the horizon.

    On the podium, Sieva Borzak conducts the Orchestra della Toscana, with Enrico Ruberti as solo double-bassist, on a journey that explores three different interpretations of European classicism.

    Beethoven opens the evening with the overture The Creatures of Prometheus, a piece brimming with theatrical energy and narrative drive. Hoffmeister’s Double Bass Concerto No. 1 then highlights the instrument’s solo voice, striking a balance between technical brilliance and elegant cantabile. To conclude, Haydn’s Symphony No. 86 showcases the full maturity of the classical language, combining formal clarity, inventiveness and subtle irony.

    An essential, intermission-free programme, part of the tenth edition of Ville e Giardini incantati, where music blends with the nocturnal view of the city.
