    Musical disguises, rhythmic contaminations, forays between genres. The ORT Carnival Concert moves between Argentine tango, Italian opera, Brazilian suggestions and festive spirit. On the podium is Roberto Molinelli, one of the most versatile composers, conductor and arranger on the Italian scene, who for years has been involved in projects that interweave classical repertoire, jazz, pop and popular traditions.

    The title Carnevale Reloaded already says a lot: a season turned upside down, a summer tucked inside winter, an opera disguised as a milonga. Music by Vivaldi and Piazzolla, Verdi and Vinicius de Moraes, Bernstein’s Mambo and a Paganini in a samba key are mixed with original pieces by Molinelli himself, in a programme designed to surprise and amuse.

    Not a concert-show, but a show in concert form: energetic, creative, built with the lightness of disguise and the precision of musical craftsmanship.
