    Bathed in the afternoon light, the Church of Christ the King hosts a programme entirely dedicated to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, performed by the String Quintet of the Orchestra della Toscana.

    Two twin and complementary works, the String Quintet No. 3 K. 515 and the String Quintet No. 4 K. 516, reveal the more mature and refined side of Mozart’s compositional style: on the one hand, energy, breadth and symphonic scope; on the other, introspection, fragility and a subtle melancholy that pervades the entire musical structure.

    The performance, featuring Paolo Del Lungo and Paolo Lambardi on violin, Caterina Cioli and Sabrina Giuliani on viola, and Andrea Landi on cello, highlights the close dialogue between the parts and the transparency of the lines, in a constant balance between tension and cantabile.
