    The late Romantic repertoire is at the heart of the concert conducted by Hossein Pishkar.

    With the Orchestra della Toscana, pianist Eva Gevorgyan performs Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Concerto No. 1 for Piano and Orchestra, Op. 23, one of the most famous and virtuosic works in the piano repertoire. The expansive and brilliant solo part intertwines with an orchestral texture of strong melodic prominence.

    In the second half, the ORT performs Symphony No. 9, Op. 95 “New World Symphony” by Antonín Dvořák, composed during the composer’s stay in America and marked by a dialogue between European symphonic tradition and musical influences from the New World.
