    The initiative dedicated to those who live in Mugello, Chianti and Val di Sieve, Le Vie della Musica, is back.

    Through a return coach service offered by the Orchestra della Toscana, people who subscribe to 6 concerts (chosen by us) can reach the Teatro Verdi in Florence to listen to our concerts.

    This year, the subscription will start in January instead of November. To fill the gap, Le Vie della Musica is going on tour: for the Mugello line, the ORT Foundation, in collaboration with the Municipality of Borgo San Lorenzo, is offering the public a musical moment in the company of the ORT Quartet (composed of the orchestra’s first string players) in the Oratory of Sant’Omobono in Borgo San Lorenzo.

    A programme has been chosen for this occasion that compares two worlds distant in time and spirit: the luminous elegance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the dramatic intensity of Dmitri Shostakovich. Two different ways of giving voice to the human soul through the language of the string quartet, one of the most intimate and revealing forms of chamber music.

    The concert will open with greetings from the ORT Foundation on the occasion of the presentation of the new 2026 edition of the festival.
